The ocean has a way of healing. There is something very cleansing about about it that just puts the mind at ease. In this piece, Kean depicts a wave breaking on the North Shore of Oahu with Mt Ka'ala shown in the background. Two printmaking processes were utilized in the creation of this work - woodcut and a monoprinted color blend. The woodcut print was printed with black ink and a gradient of blue inks was printed as a second layer to complete the piece.
